Frequently asked questions about our crepe making and cooking classes

📅 Booking and practical information

How long does the crepe making class last?

The duration depends on the type of class and the number of participants, but it generally lasts around 2½ hours.

Do you have an online calendar showing upcoming class dates and times?

No. We do not offer an online calendar with fixed class dates. Each workshop is organised upon request. Simply let us know your availability, the number of participants and your preferred language, English or French. We will then suggest one or more suitable dates.

Is the cooking class available in English?

Yes. The entire crepe making class can be held in English or French, allowing us to welcome both French-speaking visitors and international travellers.

How many people can take part?

We welcome both individual participants and groups. The number of available places depends on the type of class. Contact us with the size of your group, and we will suggest the most suitable option.

What is included in the price of the class?

The price includes guidance from the chef, use of the equipment, all ingredients required to make the crepes, tasting your creations on site and receiving the recipe by email after the class. An apron is provided to each participant.

How is payment made?

Payment by credit or debit card is made when the booking is confirmed. Payment in cash on site is also possible when this arrangement has been agreed upon during the booking process.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

No. All bookings are firm and final. No refund or change of date is possible in the event of a cancellation, regardless of the reason.

Can I give a crepe making class as a gift?

Yes. You can pay for a class for someone else. However, we do not offer gift vouchers with an open date. The booking must always be made for a specific class date. The person paying for the workshop does not have to be the person attending it.

What should I bring on the day of the class?

You do not need to bring any equipment or ingredients. The professional crepe griddles, utensils, ingredients and aprons are all provided on site.

👨‍🍳 Class format and learning

Is the class suitable for people who have never made crepes before?

Absolutely. Most participants are beginners. The explanations are progressive, each technique is demonstrated step by step, and the chef supports every participant according to their experience level.

Can I learn how to make crepes in a single class?

Yes. The aim is not to turn you into a professional crepe maker in just a few hours, but to teach you the essential techniques and correct movements. Because you practise throughout the class, you leave with a simple method that you can reproduce easily at home.

Is it a demonstration or a hands-on cooking class?

It is a fully hands-on cooking class. Participants do not simply watch the chef: they prepare and cook their own crepes with the chef’s explanations, guidance and corrections.

Is the equipment the same as that used in a professional creperie?

Yes. The workshop takes place directly inside our creperie using professional crepe griddles. You will also learn to use a rozell, the traditional wooden crepe spreader, and discover the techniques used every day in a professional creperie.

Will I learn a recipe that is easy to make again at home?

Yes. The recipe used during the class has been selected so that it can be reproduced easily at home using simple ingredients. It will be sent to you by email after the class so that you can make your own crepes with confidence.

Is the class suitable for people with coeliac disease, lactose intolerance or a vegan diet?

No. The class is not suitable for people with coeliac disease, lactose intolerance or a vegan diet.

Can I make the crepes again if I do not own a professional crepe griddle?

Yes. The techniques learned during the class will be useful whatever equipment you have. Even with a good-quality crepe pan, you can apply the preparation, cooking and flipping techniques taught during the workshop.

What is the most difficult technique to learn?

Spreading the batter with a rozell is generally the technique that requires the most practice. This is completely normal. Nobody performs it perfectly on their first attempt, but progress is often very quick. With a few tips and some practice, the movement becomes more natural and fluid during the class.

How many crepes can I eat during the class?

There is no specific limit. In practice, participants generally eat between two and four crepes during the class, depending on their appetite and the time spent preparing them.

Can I take home the crepes I make?

Yes. If you do not wish to eat all your crepes on site, takeaway packaging is available so that you can bring your creations with you.

Can I take photos and videos during the class?

Of course. You may photograph or film your creations and the different stages of the class, provided that you respect the privacy of the other participants.

Do you sell the equipment or ingredients used during the class?

No. We do not sell equipment such as rozells, spatulas, ladles or aprons, nor ingredients such as flour or salted butter caramel.

However, we will be happy to advise you. At the end of the class, we can tell you where to purchase the equipment and ingredients we use, so that you can make your own crepes at home, whether you live in France or abroad.

👥 Groups and participants

Can children take part in the class?

Yes. Children aged 10 and over can participate, provided that they are accompanied by an adult.

Is the class suitable for teenagers?

Yes. Teenagers generally enjoy the practical nature of the workshop. They make their own crepes, learn how to use a rozell and can photograph or film their creations for social media.

Can we book a private class for our family or group of friends?

Yes. You can book a private cooking class reserved exclusively for your group. This option is particularly suitable for families, birthdays, groups of friends and special celebrations.

Do you organise classes for universities and international schools?

Yes. We regularly welcome student groups, universities, international schools and participants travelling to Paris as part of an educational programme. The entire workshop can be held in English or French.

Can companies book a private class?

Yes. Companies can book a private session for team building, a small seminar, an activity with international clients or an informal experience shared between colleagues.

Can I attend the class if I am travelling alone?

This depends on the dates, the classes already scheduled and the places available. Contact us with your availability, and we will let you know whether you can join an existing session.

Can someone attend the class without participating?

No. We do not offer a “visitor-only” option allowing someone to watch the class or join only for the tasting. Everyone present must take part in the cooking class. The only exception is for children under the age of 10 who are accompanying a participating adult.

🏠 Comfort and on-site rules

Is there a dress code for the cooking class?

No. There is no specific dress code. We simply recommend wearing comfortable clothes suitable for cooking, as well as closed-toe shoes. An apron is provided on site.
